The old man approaches his piano and looks tenderly at an old photograph of himself and his girl when they were very young and in love. He experiences a tug to his heartstrings. As he looks, he begins to play a little melody, an expression of gratitude for this tender moment, trapped in time. Suddenly, magic enters the scene. A tear comes to his eye as he watches the couple come alive and dance gently to the sway of the music, small insignificant movements synchronising with the rhythm of the sounds. However, as the song reaches its ending, this fleeting moment passes and the young couple in the photo regain their pose, once again frozen in time. The song “You and Me” is an unashamedly romantic expression of this indulgence, of this beauty and of this loss.
