Schubert and his impromptus ( along with Chopin nocturnes) are my favourite music and this one is a particular favourite. Enjoyed listening to it, thinking of the fact you have continued and developed your joy in music, and remembering how we used to listen to a wide range of classical music, including you playing!

Thanks, Anne. I think enjoyment is the operative term. The music is so beautiful that I cannot resist having a go. It never ceases to amaze me what a privilege learning such a piece of music is. One feels so close to the mind of the person who created it. I wish, though, that some of their genius would “rub off on to me”😂😂. I’m so happy that you enjoyed it. I might put up one or two pieces of Chopin that I learned from the book you gave me so long ago. My best wishes to you and Robin.
